Your personal details

We will use your data only in connection with providing the goods and services offered on this website.

We will pass only your delivery address and contact details to our delivery partners.

We do not sell email addresses to other organisations.

Processing your data

Our procedures comply with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is enforced in the UK by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Orange Pippin Ltd is both the controller and the processor of this data.

If you place an order with us you are providing us with a lawful basis to process your data necessary for the performance of a contract, including contacting you about the order.

If you have contacted us in any other way we will have a lawful basis to process your data based on legitimate interests. Usually this will be because you have visited our website or contacted us to ask a question about our products and services.

We may produce occasional email newsletters about our products and services, but you will only receive these if you have explicitly opted-in to do so. You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing emails at any time by contacting us.

Our webservers are all located in data centres in the UK / European Union.

Data is usually retained for at least 10 years - fruit trees are a long-term investment and customers sometimes ask us what they have ordered previously. If you have purchased trees from us then we are required to retain the financial record for a minimum of 7 years.

If you are not happy with the way we process your data you have the right to complain to the ICO.

Your payment details

We do not retain your payment card details on our system. When you place an online order on our website your payment card details are transmitted online to our bank. We do not see any of these details, we only receive a notification that your payment has been accepted or declined.

Website usage

We use website "cookies" to facilitate the smooth working of this website. Cookies are small files which are sent to your browser when you visit our website, and allow us to distinguish you from other visitors, although they do not personally identify you. If you do not wish to accept these cookies you can delete them and/or block them in your browser - all the major browsers have options in their security settings to let you do this. However parts of our website will not then work as expected and you will not be able to place an order. However you can also place an order by email or telephone.

We only use first-party cookies, in other words cookies set by us for the direct operation and management of our website. We do not use third-party cookies which could allow your details to be passed to third-party marketing organisations.

  • We use Google Analytics tracking to log details of pages you visit on our website. This helps us to see which pages are most popular. The Google tracking does not identify you personally, and we do not activate any of the Google advertising, sharing, or benchmarking services.
  • Our website is hosted on an industry-standard Microsoft webserver, which issues a default cookie called asp.net_sessionid. This cookie is set as soon as you visit our site but expires automatically after you leave it.
