Self-pollinating Bramley apple tree

Question:

I’m not a real gardener! Do I buy a self pollinating bramley apple tree ? I have about a meter square are to plant in semi shade. Regards

Answer:

Hi Susan, thanks for contacting us. As it happens there is no such thing as a self-fertile or self-pollinating Bramley apple tree.

However I would not worry too much, because in your area there are many other gardens around and there will be plenty of other apple trees which will help with pollination.

The smallest Bramley apple tree we have is on the M27 rootstock, see reference PG1 on this page.  We also have some slightly larger ones if you prefer.
