What does 'bush-trained' mean?

I am hoping to buy a Charles Ross apple tree from you. I tasted one at an apple day near Penrith, very nice. I am looking at the small 2 year bush-trained bare root one and my question is - what does Bush trained mean?

Answer:
A bush-trained tree is one where the main stem is quite short before the branches start. This means the whole tree is low to the ground and therefore easier to pick and maintain.
It is not as aesthetically pleasing as a tree with a longer clear stem (such as a "half standard") but is a better option in most situations.
