Fan-trained plum for NE facing wall
Question:
Hello I have a NE facing wall that is 12 ft in width and 7ft in height I live in Staffordshire and would like a trained fan plum tree, it would need to be self fertile as I won’t be planting any other fruit trees next to it. Do you have something suitable that you could recommend ?

Hi Karen, there are only a few plum varieties which are suitable for a north-east facing situation. Czar is probably your best option. Choose the 1-year bare-root Czar plum tree on St Julien rootstock and train it on as a fan (reference BR2).
