Mulberry tree not fruiting
Hi, I'd like to buy a mulberry tree, I have a large one already but it does not produce fruit. I enclose a pic of the mulberry- we’ve had the house for 2 years so the tree is inherited. We were told it’s a ‘white mulberry’ but no further info.

Thanks for the photo of your white mulberry tree, which is very impressive - it must be several decades old. White mulberries (Morus alba) generally do not produce fruit. They are grown for their stately ornamental appearance, and for providing shade.
The various fruiting mulberries we supply, such as King James, are a different species (Morus nigra) or sometimes hybrids of other Morus species.
White mulberry leaves are the type used for feeding silk worms for silk production. The leaves of the fruiting species are not suitable for this.
