Daikoku ornamental cherry trees

Prunus
  • Flowering month: April
  • Flowering month: May
  • Blossom colour: Pink - light

Daikoku is a traditional Japanese pink blossom tree, with particularly pretty double flowers.

Viewed close-up the individual petals seem to vary in shade from white to darker pink, which produces a very attractive, almost Impressionist effect when seen from a distance.
